Overview
TiDB (平凯星辰) is an open-source, MySQL-compatible distributed SQL database with built-in HTAP (Hybrid Transactional/Analytical Processing) — elastic horizontal scale, strong consistency, and high availability without sharding middleware. TiDB Enterprise adds vCPU-based licensing, hardened tooling, and vendor support, plus native vector search so RAG and AI applications run on the same operational database.
